plasma-widget-memusage software package provides plasma widget that displays ram and swap usage, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plasma-widget-memusage
plasma-widget-memusage is installed in your system.
Make ensure the plasma-widget-memusage package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep plasma-widget-memusage *
You will get with plasma-widget-memusage package name, version, architecture and description in a table
